Yes! Hal got it, it's San Diego, Ash Street & 7th Ave. Even the PARK sign is there, next Corner direction West. THANK YOU ALL for searching this, I got this picture from my favourite movie and was looking for the location for almost 10 years. Again, thanks all and special to you hal.

ash street & 7th Ave, San Diego, CA 92101, USA
Can anybody confirm this? I've checked it with street view. The traffic light, the junction box and the building on the left side is visible.

The bloke standing there kind of looks like Phillip Seymour Hoffman.

Its a parking garage, not the park hotel. I suspect the location is looking toward the east bay, atop a hill that overlooks either south of market area or the financial district. The weird looking building on the right, with the three "tubes" jutting out is a mystery to me. It could be Harrison Street, the one south of market street that has a hill, or possibly Bush or Post.

could be something like Park hotel as well, however if you look for that on google images (park hotel san francisco) it doesnt match

From the Movie Almost Famous, should be somewhere at the West Coast, maybe San Francisco or San Diego. Address or StreetView-Link would be cool! Thanks.
