Mont Saint-Michel island in English Channel about a kiliometre off the French northwestern coast in the department of Manche in Normandy. It is one of the most recognisable landmarks in France and is in UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites. The tall spire in the background is of the Mont Saint-Michel Abbey.
