I'm trying to convince myself. Seen this way, the arch looks in front of the dark palace (Pakistan embassy) or at most in front of the last building of the row on the left (Garden Club e. a.). The trees cover the street level of the various buildings and the alignment remains uncertain; if the arch is actually more distant than it seems, the problem of dimensions is solved too.

The pin is correct; the arch is badly rearranged. One thing is the depth, but the arch is also much higher than the surrounding buildings and there is no trace of its wide square.

It looks like a great photoshop. One sees well half of the Arc de Triomphe, which in reality is not so close to the buildings in any direction.
