I think it is more a policy of Airbnb than a desire of privacy by the owner. If they don't want to disclose where the property is, they would hardly put it for rent on Airbnb.

On the other end, Airbnb has an interest to keep owners and custumers apart, to stay in the middle and don't get cut out by direct communication. So, all the properties shown on Airbnb "suffer" of an approximate localisation, until a reservation is confirmed. Finding it exactly on Google maps allow in many cases to find a direct way to contact the owner and book the property without paying the Airbnb commission.

I also hesitated with posting at first, after what CuriousJM said about keeping the location secret, but the owners pretty much reveal the location themselves by making it known it's in Gdinj, so...
